Finally I have time to read our first book!!!!

Okay....so life has been downright crazy this month but finally I have made time to really sit down and read. I now have time to post one of my first blogs. I will admit when I first started reading this book it went a little slow, I was having a hard time processing all of the information that was presented all at once at the beginning of the book. I am now on page 115 and I am really enjoying what I have read so far. I know that everyone in our B club is in varying places in the book so I hesitate to comment on the plots/ characters but I will say that the book has become a very exciting story which has captured my attention and has drawn me in; it has been hard to put the book down. Thank you Heather for introducing me to this novel and I look forward to being able to discuss the book once we have all finished!!!!

Okay... so call me crazy ;)

I have dreamt of starting a book club FOREVER now, however... I didn't realize how much my manic nature would get in the way of my book selection! I really wanted to kick off the club with some good ole Jane Austen.... but then, I was thinking about how fun it would be to read { The Time Traveler's Wife }.... and then when we met to discuss the book, we could follow up a tastey happy hour session at say.... Stanford's, with watching the movie.... am I getting nuts??? Your all my closets friends, so you can tell me the truth... or is this idea even more fab then my other???? H E L P... it's 1:30am and I can't find reason anymore... ;)

Jane Austen Here We Come

Thank you Heather for taking the initiative to start this book club! It is going to be a lot of fun ...Jane Austen here we come!!!! Chelsi

Toast... to the beginning!

Now... I can start this blog off with a bunch of boring { whambulance } talk over why we all NEED a day a month to ourselves, but I'm pretty confident that we can simply agree we all do! ;) So, let get down to the nitty griddy... This is the next step I'm thinking the book club should resolve:

* Pick an evening out for our 1st preliminary meeting to discuss the clubs guidelines...

Examples~
~ One evening a month on a rotational schedule for meetings { IE: the third Thursday of each month }
~ Pick which month each member would like to host
~ Hostess chooses the meeting place and the next book that the group will be reading
~ Membership??? { how many members are we wanting? }

These are just some examples of topics we will need to address to coordinate our new club! I'm so excited to start this with all of you and I hope everyone enjoys the books and the excuse to get out once a month... CHEERS!
